Non-medical home care
Coming Home After Rehab
Non-medical support during the transition home after a rehab or hospital stay, including personal care, meals, mobility assistance, companionship and routine support as appropriate.

Support for the move home
The first weeks at home after a rehab or hospital stay can be the hardest. Everyday tasks take more effort, and families are often juggling appointments, prescriptions and work at the same time.
A caregiver can help with the non-medical side of the day, so your loved one has steady support while they settle back in. Medical care, therapy and nursing stay with their own healthcare providers.
Needs often change after coming home. We review the care plan as your loved one becomes more independent, or if they need more help.

How Caringood approaches care
The same principles guide every care plan, whatever the schedule.
-
Non-medical, by design
Everyday support at home: personal care, companionship, meals, errands, transportation and reminders.
-
Built around their day
We learn their routines, preferences and what a good day looks like, then plan care around that.
-
The right amount of care
Hours are based on what your loved one actually needs, not on how many can be scheduled.
-
A familiar caregiver
We match thoughtfully and aim for consistent caregivers whenever scheduling allows, so trust can grow.
-
Reviewed as needs change
The care plan is reviewed and adjusted as your loved one becomes more independent or needs more help.
-
Local and accountable

Do you provide medical or nursing care?
No. Caringood provides non-medical home care only. We don’t provide nursing, medical or skilled care. Your loved one’s medical care stays with their own doctors and healthcare providers.
How many hours of care will we need?
It depends on the person. Some families need extensive daily support; others benefit from more focused care. You don’t need to know before you call. We look at daily routines, personal care, family support, meals, transportation and safety, then talk through an appropriate schedule, and review it as needs change.
How much does care cost?
Cost depends on the hours and type of care your loved one needs. We aim to build a care plan around what they actually need, not the most hours we can schedule. Talk with our care team for current rates.
How do families pay for care?
Families may use private pay and, depending on eligibility and policy terms, may be able to use long-term care insurance or qualifying veterans’ benefits. Your insurer or the VA decides eligibility; we’re happy to talk through the options with you.
What if my loved one’s needs change?
Care should be reviewed, not simply scheduled indefinitely. Someone coming home from rehab may become more independent; someone else may need more help over time. As circumstances change, we review whether the care plan should change too.
What help is useful after a rehab or hospital stay?
Non-medical support with the everyday parts of the day: bathing and dressing, moving around the home safely, meals, medication reminders, rides to follow-up appointments and company. Nursing, therapy and medical care stay with your loved one’s healthcare providers.
Not Sure What Kind of Care You Need? That’s Okay.
You don’t need to know how many hours, what service or what schedule you need before contacting us.
Tell us what’s happening, what your loved one can still do on their own and what’s worrying you. We’ll start there.
